Tile surfaces that see daily traffic or water need more than a mop. Dirt and grime work into the tile’s surface and the grout around it. Smooth porcelain resists dirt better than most tile, but its grout still needs periodic care to stay looking new.
Why grout darkens in the Valley
Three things do it: dust, dirt and household spills. When dust and dirt get wet during mopping, they form a fine slurry that settles into the pores of unsealed grout or sticks to a standard seal. Light-colored grout in high-traffic areas shows it first. Lift an area rug to see the difference.
Deep cleaning
Our equipment and cleaning agents remove the dirt that has worked into tile and grout. Most stone tile is porous too, so stone floors get the cleaner and process that suits the stone.
Grout recoloring and color sealing
If your grout has been stained by chemicals or spills, we can recolor it to match its original color, or change it to a new color, then seal it. A standard penetrating seal makes grout stain resistant. A specialized stain seal blocks spills from staining and is easy to keep clean.
